About 70 km from Athens, Cape Sounio is always a good idea for a half-day excursion.
Famous for the Temple of Poseidon which is one of the most important archaeological sites of Attica.
The coastal route here is one of the most beautiful, while the unparalleled beauty and exquisite location of the Temple, at the southeast end of Cape Sounio, impresses whoever visits it. Beyond the temple in Sounio, you can enjoy wonderful natural landscapes and one of the most beautiful sunsets.
