WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
We set off at 08:00 from Athens to reach Delphi the earliest possible in order to start with the sunny exterior Visits and then take in the Delphi Museum tour.
We walk up to the famous Theater, the Temple of God Apollo and the Votive Offerings of various ancient Cities and their Kings.
‘Breathe in’ the spectacular views of the surrounding mountains.
Walk downhill to the Athena Pronaia Sanctuary, the most photographed spot in Delphi.
Take adequate time to admire this marvelous monument!
It’s high time we entered the Museum of Delphi, home to the unique bronze Charioteer, the Naxian Sphinx, and the Statue of Antinoos, admiring an amazing insight into Ancient Greek culture and history.
A lunch break, follows, either in a nearby taverna, or to a coastal restaurant at Galaxidi, 40 mins away (2nd option).
Then, we head back to Athens via the picturesque mountain village of Arachova.
